Asking for help is not easy for me, but right now I’m doing it for my child.
I am currently 38 weeks pregnant, and my baby boy is due next week. As I prepare to bring him into the world, my heart is filled with love and hope—but also worry, because I am still struggling financially to provide everything he will need.
Before reaching this moment in my life, I went through one of the most difficult periods anyone can face. There was a time when I was homeless, sleeping on the streets and not knowing where I would go each night. Some days the only food I had came from shelters where the meals were very simple—often just bread with cheese, chocolate spread, or jam, with coffee or tea. Even during those hard moments, I held on to the belief that my life could change.
Those experiences shaped who I am today. They taught me resilience and gave me the determination to keep moving forward no matter how difficult things become.
Today I am a second-year student, working hard to build a future for myself and my child. I want to finish my education and create stability so that my son can grow up in a safe, loving environment with opportunities I didn’t always have.
However, it has been incredibly challenging to prepare for a baby while still trying to get back on my feet. Basic living costs, baby essentials, and preparing for his arrival have become overwhelming.
With my due date only days away, I’m doing everything possible to get ready for him, but I still need help to make sure he has the things he needs when he arrives.
The funds from this fundraiser will help with essential needs such as:
• Baby essentials (diapers, clothing, blankets, and necessities)
• Basic living expenses and rent
• Transportation and school-related costs
• Creating a safe and stable start for my son
